The Centre

An 80-place service in Central West NSW is looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Centre Director to join their team of early childhood professionals. You will be working collaboratively with the Centre Manager and educators to provide a safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.

The Role
As an Assistant Centre Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating an inclusive perspective and maintains a consistently positive, collaborative approach within team environments to create a safe nurturing environments for children, staff, and families
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proven capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Office administration duties including maintaining centre records and will be responsible to ensure the most current policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
  • Adaptable and willing to take on a dynamic leadership position that includes both classroom engagement and operational duties

About You
To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 1-2 years of management or leadership experience within sector
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Recent Child Protection Training/Safeguarding
  • Current First-Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
  • Current Food Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Passionate belief in the early years care, development and education of children
  • Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS
  • Adaptability, flexibility and resilience and is able to respond positively to change
  • Australian unrestricted working rights
